Egyptian Blue Lily

Election over! I don't have to deal with the campaigning anymore!! Not sure how I feel about one party having the house, senate, and presidency, but maybe my lack of faith in the human race as a whole is unfounded.

Anyway, on to much better things. My next botanical! I would have posted it before I got it back, but I forgot. Anyway, it is an Egyptian Blue Lily, or a Sacred Blue Lily. It is actually a kind of lotus, but whatever. Enjoy!

I think they might be a little washed out since I took the pictures outside, but there they are.

The King of Fruit

I am still working on my law school applications, but I just finished my mango botanical. So, I thought I would post it. Here we go!

I am still not entirely certain if I want to do anything else with the background. Anyway, I included some closeups of the fruit as well.

And there we have that. Now, off to figure out what plant I will do for my next botanical. I am thinking possibly a Venus Flytrap, but I might want to go with something a little more common. I am just not sure yet.

Too much thinking

So, the LSAT is over. I would talk about it, but that would violate the first and second rules of Law Club. I am glad I will probably never have to take that test again though. It is nice to have it out of the way.

Unfortunately that also means I now have no excuse to further postpone putting together my applications. I now get to corner my recommenders to get them to write my letters, and write all those damn personal statements. I get to start on that tomorrow. Joy!

Anyway, I think I will try and post some more of my progress in the future. Look for it.

Might post my mango botanical once I am done too. We will see how it turns out.

So, I am back

And this is why I should never have a myspace, facebook, or blog. I go for months forgetting to check it.

New Zealand was amazing, but I can't bring myself to sit down and write an entry about it. Chances are that by now I have told about everyone I know how amazing it was in person anyway. Maybe some time in the future I will sit down and actually hammer out a report on my experience, but consider the matter closed for now.

So you may be wondering, “Forrest, if you are no longer in Australia, what exactly are you doing writing an entry?” Why, I am glad you asked. This blog is officially from now until my next major trip reallocated to the documentation of my random rambling musings. Expect no unified theme, overarching statement, or even contiguous posts. This is truly going to be a stream of consciousness sort of deal.

Further, I have no idea when I will update. I might never update again after this, or I might update daily from now till the day I die. Most likely it will fall somewhere in between, but I don’t want to make any promises I certainly cannot keep.

One last note before I move on: while I am not sure what I will be talking about from day to day, chances are high that subjects such as video games, politics, technology, books, and news relevant to my life will feature regularly. If none of these are of interest to you, you may want to look elsewhere for mindless, time killing reading material.

I am still looking for a third roommate for next year, so if you or someone you know who is not a douche (this is a very important characteristic) is looking for somewhere to live in Lubbock next year, please let me know. Thanks!
